What products are good to import from China?

If you’re reading this post, that’s because you have intentions to import from China, but you don’t know what products are good enough to do it. So keep reading and you will know.

1) Start with the easiest way

In our years in China, many people have asked us: ¿What is good there to import? And the right answer is  EVERYTHING. This country became famous for producing everything, in any possible amount and quality. Therefore, such question doesn´t   make  sense. The question that really is worth asking is: which product is easier to sell?

The answer to that question should be enough to know exactly what merchandise is suitable to begin. You should start with a familiar product or an area where you know someone who can help you take the first steps in selecting the item, the quality and the details customers pay attention.

If you have an uncle or friend who sells shoes, it is not a bad idea to import the type of shoe that he knows is a best seller. Besides, try that part of the  merchandise to be bought by that person.

2) Start with a product you like         

If you don’t know anyone who can help you in the selection of the merchandise, the next thing to do would be recommend that you start with the product you like and which you feel personally identified with,  without falling in love with it. Excessive love for a product may cause what is known as “economic  blindness”, and be bringing a 40 feet container full of dress shoes –in orange color with purple stripes —just because you like it– may not be the best decision for  your business.

Important tip

Start offering  and promoting your product (using the sample) before you buy it. Show the items to the buyers and the sales price that you consider appropriate.
